What if I am not attached to a class for the Campbell Biololgy site????

If you aren’t attached to a class on Campbell biology.
Log on.  On the left side of the screen, there should be an option to “join a class”
Click on that option, and enter the following code:

Period 2 -- cm732995
Period 3 -- cm685335

My name should come up, click ok (or add or join or whatever it says).  All of your information will come into the class with you.

If you need to create an account from scratch, go to the helpful links tab and the directions are there

Wed-Friday plans

The parts of the cell & their functions should be review from first year biology.  We will not spend any additional class time on these.  Please complete the Chapt 4 activities & the key concepts quizzes on the campbell biology site.

Also, you need to understand the structure and function of the cell membrane.  There is a section in Chapt 5 "Membrane structure and function" on the campbell biology site. Please complete the "thinking like a scientist: how does osmosis affect cells" and e-mail the results to yourself and to me.  Also, please complete the key concepts quiz for that section.  I will be checking for completion of all of this by Monday.

The worksheets that are provided also need to be completed by Monday.  Please put them in your notebook and there will be a notebook check on Monday Dec 3rd.

I will be able to check my e-mail, so if you have any questions or concerns, let me know :)

Evolution study guide & computer work

Monday and Tuesday (honestly, probably Wednesday as well)

Work on the study guide (click here for extra copy)

For computer work, go to the Campbell biology site (remember to click on the pelican book)

Complete the key concepts quizzes for all sections in chapters 13, 14 & 15

Then create a cumulative 30 question test for those chapters

(bonus points for also completing the actual chapter tests for each chapter with at least a 75% -- more points for higher scores)

Remember you can re-take these tests as often as you like

I am going to look at these for a grade on Tuesday November 27th.  Please use your time wisely!
